Terms of service

What the service does

MetricDeck reads marketing data from accounts you connect (Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Google Ads, OpenAI Ads) and checks the websites you ask it to watch. It calculates metrics from that data and presents them as dashboards, alerts, AI-written summaries and explanations, and reports. It only ever reads from your connected accounts: it never changes settings, edits campaigns or spends money in them.

Your account

• You are responsible for keeping your login secure and for everything done through your account. We recommend turning on two-factor login.
• You must be at least 18 and, if you use the service for an organisation, authorised to accept these terms for it.
• You must have the right to connect each account you attach, whether it is yours or a client's. When you connect a client's account, you are responsible for having their permission.

Plans and payment

• The plans, what each includes and its price in US dollars, before tax, are on our pricing page. The Free plan costs nothing; paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly.
• Payments are handled by Dodo Payments, our payment provider, which acts as the seller (merchant of record), adds any sales tax, VAT or GST that applies where you are, and issues your invoices. Its checkout terms also apply to your purchase.
• A paid plan renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel it.
• We may change our prices. A change applies to you from your next renewal, and we will email you at least 30 days before it does.
• If we offer a free trial of a paid plan, your account moves to the Free plan when the trial ends, unless you subscribe. Nothing is deleted.

Plan limits and fair use

Each plan has limits (projects, team members, pages watched, "Sync now" per day, and AI rewrites and explanations per month), shown on the pricing page and in the app. Some exist because the platforms we read from limit how often everyone together may ask them, so one account can't use up others' share. If you move to a plan with lower limits, projects above the new limit stop syncing and become read-only until you choose which to keep active; nothing is deleted.

Cancelling and refunds

You can cancel at any time from your account. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you've paid for, then moves to Free. Refunds are covered by our refund and cancellation policy.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• connect an account you have not been given permission to access, or watch a website you have no reason to monitor;
• attempt to reach data belonging to another customer, or to probe, scan or overload the service, or get around its limits;
• resell or redistribute the service itself, as distinct from reports you make for your own clients;
• use the service to break the law, or to break the terms of the platforms you connect.

Third-party platforms

The service depends on APIs run by Google, OpenAI and other providers. Your use of those accounts stays subject to their own terms. We do not control whether they are available, whether they change, or whether the figures they report are accurate, and providers sometimes restate figures after we have synced them. Search Console data in particular is final only two to three days later, which the app labels where it matters.

Your data

The data you connect stays yours. You give us only the permission needed to read it, store it and present it back to you and your workspace, as the privacy policy describes. You can remove a source, delete a project or delete your whole account from the app at any time, and the data goes with it.

AI summaries, explanations and recommendations

Every figure in the product is calculated by our code from the provider's own data. Summaries, alert explanations and search-term reviews are written by an AI model from those figures and can still be wrong or incomplete. They are a starting point for your judgement, not professional advice: check before you act. Decisions about your marketing, and their results, remain yours. The AI never changes anything in your accounts.

Availability

The service is provided as it is, without a guaranteed uptime commitment. We may change or discontinue features, and will give reasonable notice before removing something you rely on.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, MetricDeck is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits or lost data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before it arose. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Ending it

You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time from the Account page. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms or doesn't pay, and will tell you why where we can.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you, we will tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. These terms are governed by the laws of India, and its courts have exclusive jurisdiction.
