# Refunds and cancellation

Cancel whenever you like, and if MetricDeck isn't right for you in the first 14 days of paying, get your money back.

Effective 12 October 2026

## Cancelling

* You can cancel a paid plan at any time from your account. There's no notice period and no fee.
* Your plan stays active until the end of the period you've already paid for. Then your account moves to the Free plan; nothing is deleted.
* Deleting your account also cancels your plan.

## 14-day money-back guarantee

If you ask within 14 days of your first payment for a plan, monthly or yearly, we refund that payment in full. No questions asked.

## After 14 days

* Monthly payments aren't refunded once that period has started. Cancel to stop the next one.
* If you cancel a yearly plan after 14 days, it stays active until the end of the year you paid for, without a partial refund.
* We always refund duplicate charges and billing mistakes, and we'll refund fairly if the service was unusable for a long stretch because of us.
* Where the law where you live gives you more, you get more.

## Changing plans

* Upgrading takes effect straight away. Our payment provider charges the difference for the rest of the current period.
* Downgrading takes effect at the end of the current period. If you're then over the new plan's limits, extra projects stop syncing and become read-only until you choose which to keep active.

## How to ask for a refund

Write to [hello@metricdeck.app](mailto:hello@metricdeck.app) from the email address on your account. Refunds go back to the original payment method through our payment provider, usually within 5–10 business days.
