Try it: mark a few terms and watch the list build. Northwind Dental is one of the demo agency's made-up clients, and the alert on top is what MetricDeck's rules raise on its numbers. The AI's picks and reasons here are examples; in the app they come from the AI review of each account.

**Not every wasted term is irrelevant.** “dentist open now” spent ₹7,040 without a booking, but it's exactly what the clinic sells, so the AI leaves it alone. That's a bid, keyword or landing page problem, and the alert's “Why, and what to check” reads the account's recent changes to find it.

## The Monday chore, before and after

Checking one account's search terms for waste, the way most people do it now.

Time you get back

4 h 20 min

A week, if you look after 10 clients.

For one client

By hand 32 min

With MetricDeck 6 min

Our estimate for an account with about 200 search terms a month, checked weekly; yours will differ. Pasting into Google Ads stays with you, because MetricDeck only reads.

By hand

32 min

1. 01 Open Google Ads, then Insights and reports → Search terms, for the last 30 days 2 min
2. 02 Sort by cost and filter to the terms with no conversions 2 min
3. 03 Read each of about 200 terms and decide whether the business sells it 20 min
4. 04 Check which ones are already negative keywords 3 min
5. 05 Type the negative keyword list in Google Ads' syntax 5 min

With MetricDeck

6 min

1. 01 Open the client's Ads tab: wasted terms listed, the AI's picks marked with a reason 1 min
2. 02 Check the picks and mark the ones you agree with 3 min
3. 03 Copy the list and paste it into Google Ads 2 min

## What you get

* ### A wasted-spend alert
When terms spend more than their campaign's own rate says they should without a conversion, with the amount and the terms behind it.
* ### The AI search-term review
The terms that don't match what the business sells, each with its reason, and one click to mark one or all. It also feeds the summary's Do next.
* ### A negative keyword list
Exact or phrase match, ready to paste into Google Ads. Terms you've added show as excluded after the next sync.
* ### Keywords and quality score
Spend, clicks, CTR, CPC and conversions per keyword for any period, with the ones that should have converted and low quality scores called out.
* ### What changed
Budgets, bids, keywords and on/off from the account's change history, who made each change, and recommendations Google applied by itself.
* ### Conversions that mean something
Pick the actions that are a client's real results. Page views and taps on a phone number counted as conversions get flagged.

## Why you can trust the numbers

* Read-only. Google Ads has no read-only permission, so we ask for the standard one and only ever read: MetricDeck never adds, edits, pauses or spends anything.
* Code adds up every amount. The AI only judges whether a term fits the business; it never works out a number.
* Each term is judged by its own campaign's conversion rate, so a small account and a big one are treated alike.
* Conversions count the way you choose: Google's Conversions column, or only the actions that are real results for that client.

FAQ

## Questions

Can I compare Google Ads with ChatGPT ads?

Yes. When a client has more than one ad account, the project's Overview sets them side by side over the same days: spend, share of spend, clicks, conversions and cost per conversion, with plain sentences saying which turned spend into conversions more cheaply. The same comparison goes into the AI summary and can be a section of the client report. Amounts in different currencies are never added up.

Does MetricDeck add negative keywords to Google Ads for me?

No. MetricDeck only reads your account. You copy the list, in exact or phrase match, and paste it into Google Ads; the next sync shows those terms as excluded.

How does it decide a search term should have converted?

By the term's own campaign. At that campaign's conversion rate over the last 30 days, the term's clicks should have brought at least one conversion, and they brought none. A campaign with fewer than 10 conversions is judged by the account's rate, and an account with fewer than 10 isn't judged term by term at all: the rate is too thin to go on.

What does the AI review read?

The terms that cost money without converting and aren't excluded or marked yet (the 150 that cost most), with the site's title and description, the campaigns, the keywords and the terms that do convert. It returns the ones that don't match what the business sells, each with a reason. It runs after a sync at most every 3 days per account, or when you press Review again, and it's on Starter and up.

Does the AI decide what gets blocked?

No. It only suggests. Nothing is marked until you mark it, and the amounts beside each term are Google's numbers, added up by code.

Which conversions does it count?

Google's own Conversions column, unless you choose which conversion actions count for that account on the Ads tab. Then every number, from the search terms to the alerts and the report, counts only those.

Does it cover keywords and the account's change history too?

Yes. The Keywords card shows each keyword's spend, clicks, conversions, quality score and match type for any period, with the ones that should have converted and quality scores of 4 or lower called out. What changed lists the account's budget, bid, keyword and status changes from Google's change history, and flags recommendations Google applied by itself.
